iluka private Studio Timetable

The Pilates Academy is a private studio focussing on small group and personal pilates training. It is run from a private studio in Iluka. Group classes run on Mondays and Wednesdays. Classes are booked in advance on a Term basis with full payment required with your enrolment. A wait list is currently in operation for Term classes. Please be sure to email though your details and get your name added to this list so we can accomodate you as soon as a spot becomes available. Vacancies do come up!

Private lessons can still be booked around those times listed below.

Available spaces are listed in the NOTICES section.

  • Please park in allocated side-parking so as not to obstruct traffic flow.
  • You will need to bring a towel with you. We have mats to use and new ones for sale $55.00
  • We recommend you wear comfortable clothing that won't restrict your movements.
  • Best not to eat a heavy meal before class.
  • Out of respect for your fellow class members, please don't be late.

class descriptions

Beginners: In order to assess you as an individual and ensure you understand the essential core principals of pilates/yoga; all new Clients are required to book at a minimum of two private lessons before moving into one of our programmes (when a space becomes available). The one:one private session will ensure that we can undertake a full assessment and provide you with the modifications you need to ensure you get the most out of every class with us.

Pilates Classes: All Pilates classes are a mixture of Props and Flow listed below.

Pilates & Props: This class uses small apparatus to strengthen and challenge your core. Excellent for stabilisation work. Strong focus on technique. The apparatus used may include a mixture of- Toning Balls, Magic Circles, Rollers, Fit-balls Gymstick. Fantastic for building lean strong muscle and taking your workout to the next level.

Pilates Flow: Int/Adv level class based on pre-choreographed and challenging pilates. The routines demands greater physical strength to participate in a non-stop floor-based workout. Expect to learn more challenging movements and progressive stretching.

Yoga This class is structured around and Ashtanga-styled yoga practice. Class is based on a series of standing & seated postures designed to teach you how to move into and out of postures and release muscles correctly. The flowing sequence of this class will raise your body temperature substantially; thereby enhancing your flexibility.

Soft- Yoga is a modified version of the above class with less demand on wrists and shoulders.
